Description

This herpes pamphlet reviews the hazards posed by this very common and incurable virus, whose occurrence is increasing among both men and women. The brochure stresses that 45% of infected people do not know that they have the disease because it produces only transitory symptoms. It describes the two types of herpes simplex virus as well as the four stages of infection. The viruses are called herpes simplex type 1 and herpes simplex type 2.

The herpes brochure also covers the symptoms and risks with each stage. There are currently is no cure for herpes, but there are treatments for the symptoms. Readers are warned that herpes infection significantly increases the risk of receiving or transmitting the HIV virus.
