The card begins by identifying mephedrone. It is frequently sold as packaged white powder that may be identified as plant food that is not for human consumption. The drug is also know as meph, meow, m-cat or kitty cat.

Users will swallow, snort, or smoke mephedrone in order to feel its effects. Some mephedrone users will display extreme shifts in personality, which may include bouts of depression or aggression.

This drug has been linked to multiple deaths as well as instances of brain swelling and psychiatric episodes. In the short term, users will experience paranoia, blurred vision and confusion. But over time, use leads to sleep disorders, nerve and neurological damage as well as depression.

In the United States, mephedrone is classified as a Schedule I drug, which means that it is illegal to produce, supply or possess. Those found in violation of these laws may face prison sentences and/or fines.
